Strobist Meetup at Rittenhouse Square

A couple of us got together for the holiday to shoot some portraits around Rittenhouse Square. Matthew, Denis, and I tried plenty of lighting setups on our volunteer models: Harold, Elissa, and few people asking what on earth we were doing. I think we all got some great shots, and Matt and Denis were great guys to get to know.

This is a really fun meetup that I randomly found online. Strobist focuses on: "Learning how to use off-camera flash with your dSLR to take your photos to the next level. Or the next ten levels. Using 'small speedlights'." We normally pull gear, so we end up having a lot of expensive equipment, and crazy lighting setups when we are out.

(Unlike the last one I attended, this meetup was chilly, and we were out for 5 hours in the elements. Props to the models who posed for us in the cold!)
